Libya Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2025

Libya greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2020 was 75,370.28, a 34.06% decline from 2019.
  • Libya greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 114,301.19, a 4.57% increase from 2018.
  • Libya greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 109,310.50, a 9.07% increase from 2017.
  • Libya greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 100,218.25, a 25.57% increase from 2016.
Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
